This is the somewhat sad part of the story. Bragging that he "drank a fifth of tequila before the crack of noon". Joey's pinnacle of success didn't last. His addiction to alcohol eventually burned bridges with major add accounts. He hit the skids and was rescued by the proprietor of "Off The Wall" antique shop, in L.A., where Joey landed a job restoring pieces of art-remaining there for the rest of his life.
